DESIGN FEATURES
Vertical centrifugal pumps for wet-pit mounting with independent discharge pipe.
The column is of suitably dimensioned metal tubular construction.
The pump casing and impeller are of fabricated steel, free from any surface micro-porosity thereby making for improved pump efficiency.
Welding is performed using an inert shielding gas with radiographic inspection.
The driving shaft, which is made of stainless steel or special metal, is mounted at one end on ball bearing and, at the other end, on a ceramic sliding bushing and a teflon or P.E.H.D. bearing.
For those pumps having axis lenght exceeding 2m. an intermediate bearing is provided running in the process fluid (acting as bearing lubricant), as well as ceramic sliding bushing and a teflon or P.E.H.D. bearing.
The motor is connected to the pump through a flexible coupling.
The discharge pipe is parallel to the column and is fitted to the thank cover.
The thank cover and other metal parts not in contact with the process liquid are protected by an epoxy coating. The nut and boits are made of stainless steel.
