Vertical plastic process pumps for wet-pit
mounting

DESIGN FEATURES
Vertical centrifugal pumps for wet-pit mounting with
independent discharg pipe.
The column is of thick-walled plastic tubular construction.
The driving shaft, made of titanium or stainless steel
faced with shrunkon teflon coating, is mounted at one
end on radial and thrust ball bearings (protected by
a radial seal) and, at the other end, on a ceramic sliding
bushing and a teflon or graphite bearing. For those
pumps having axis lenght exceeding 1.5m., an intermediate
bearing is provided running in the process liquid (acting
as the bearing lubricant), as well as a ceramic sliding
bushing and a teflon or graphite bearing.
The pump casing and the impeller are drop-forged for
thick-walled resine (with inside metallic frame); the
other components are machined from barstock.
The motor is connected to the pump through a flexible
coupling. The metal parts are protected by an epoxy
coating. The discharge pipe is parallel to the column
and is fitted to the plastic tank cover.
No metal part is in contact with the process liquid. |
